From Struggle to Self-Reliance: Emoline's Journey of Empowerment

From a grass-thatched house to a thriving home and business. Emoline Chiumia, a determined widow, once struggled to make ends meet and provide for her children. Life was difficult, her family lived in a small grass-thatched house, and she relied on unpredictable income to survive.

That began to change when she joined Limbikani Centre for Develeopment Organization (LICEDO) Through LICEDO's women and youth empowerment programs, Emoline took part in a series of Life changing trainings, including leadership, parenting, entrepreneurship and peer education. Each training helped her gain confidence, practical skills and renewed sense of hope for the future.

"Limbikani helped me believe in myself again. I now have skills, confidence and a business that supports my family".

-Emoline Chiumia

What changed

Emoline completed vocational training in tailoring, receiving startup tools to launch her own business.

She transitioned from a grass thatched house to a modern, well-built home.

Her tailoring business now allows her to pay school fees for her children and provide nutritious meals for her family.

She has become a role model for other women in her community, inspiring them to pursue their dreams.
